He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Hanley his grandparents, Carl and Maude Hodges and Henry and Martha Jane Hanley. Garron loved children, and always enjoyed his time with the children in the family. He was generous and dependable and took the best care of his momma for over 15 years. His family will always remember his smile and infectious laughter. Garron was part of the Funny Pages coffee club and faithfully attended the YMCA over the years. He enjoyed fishing, meeting new people and making friends. Garron earned several awards of merit during his time in the Army.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1970-1971 during the Vietnam War.

He graduated from Oran High School, in Oran, MO and from Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, MO. Garron was born on April 22, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, MO to Vernon and Ella Louise (Hodges) Hanley.
